I would like to begin by saying your work is of high quality and I can see that you have a lot of skill, particularly in mark making. I am drawn to pattern number 5 as there is lots of movement in the short, repetitive marks you have made, and I think the print would be successful if applied onto a fashion garment. In addition, I love your choice of colours within your work, especially the colour pallete in the fourth piece (‘houses by the sea’) as the warmth from the oranges and pinks compliment the cool purple and blue tones. Perhaps developing further, you could have created a repeat pattern using the row of houses for an abstract print. The flower shapes in your last piece work nicely together and I like the pastel colours against the pale blue background. I like your use of different digital brushes as it varies the texture across your work. To improve this, I would suggest introducing different scale as it may help to create more visual variety
For next time I think you could try exploring a larger range of medias and styles as a lot of your pieces of work are solely digital. For example, I found it useful to begin using wet and dry mediums then scan them into digital to work on them further. I think that by doing this it could allow you to create more diverse textures and increase the depth in your patterns.
