Looking through both of your tasks, I was able to see that you used a broad range of Mediums and technique. I really like your attention to colour that you used in relation with pattern; also managing to make a story with your work, using your unique style, conveying your personality vividly. The mixture of digital and traditional Mediums is really inspiring and made me think that I should have explored this technique more. I wish I had applied it to my own blog and practices. Your techniques and style show a lot of talent and I think you have a keen eye for colour, however as much as the qualities of your work are playful and colourful, I don’t think its expresses the brief as much as it should. Inspiration needed to be observation drawing based on your surrounding at the time of the project start, and not things from three years ago. I also felt that you didn’t explore the ‘way of seeing’ element of the brief as well as you did with the ‘Talking colour/ Pattern’, as I wasn’t able to see your thought process in creating your patterns. As an improvement I would make sure you fully understand the briefs criteria, printing the brief out can be a really good tool to help you in understanding it. Overall, I think your keen eye for colour/ pattern and personality really shown through your work and think you should be very proud with what you’ve done. Good Start!
