Danai can I firstly saw I really enjoyed looking through the work within both your ‘Talking Colours’ and your ‘Talking patterns’, I think it is clear you have really embraced this project and created some striking work. Your specific choice of colours within each individual piece display not only your attention to detail but also your ability to experiment and convey different moods within your work effectively in a way that is eye catching. I can see your attempt to experiment within your designs as you have successfully utilised a large variety of different medias and this ranges from watercolour and acrylic paint, to dry pastels, markers alongside digital resources.
Your work demonstrates how you have taken inspiration through your everyday encounters and used this as a stimulus for much of your work. This is clearly reflected through your ‘Talking Patterns’ piece which was inspired by the City and Hammersmith line, your use of both acrylic and watercolour paint is extremely effective and engaging. You have showcased your artistic ability through the unique pattern you have created and your deliberate positioning of different colours which almost feels textural.
You have further portrayed your extensive ability as an artist through your abstract collage, within this piece I can see how you have combined different techniques and medias to create a striking collage with contrasting colours. This piece alongside your observational drawings truly showcase your range of abilities and also how you have challenged yourself to be experimental within this project. The combination of work you have uploaded show how you have challenged yourself within this project through the use of different mediums, backgrounds and techniques. In the future you could experiment with potentially some timed drawings as this would restrict what you are able to achieve and it could therefore further the free nature within your work. Although overall I think you should be really proud of what you have achieved within this project and I have really enjoyed looking through your work!
