Tilly, the overall impression I got from your works is of sunshine, positive energy and abundance of colour. I really like the 3D work you created and developed it into patterns. I enjoy the way you experimented with objects – plates and cut outs – in Photoshop and created striking, unexpected patterns. I love the black and white drawing of your structure and I am amazed how you show the 3D effect with different lines and marks. I think your thick and thin black line drawing is quite dramatic and I am drawn in by its depth and seriousness. My suggestion is to add annotations because it would be useful to know what media you used. I think you created a range of patterns which really showed your skills in working with colours and scale.
In ‘Talking Colour’ I love the pointillism effect of the grapes and I would love to see it in print on fabric. All your drawings carry very spontaneous approach and I can really imagine the atmosphere in Camden or Shepherds Bush Markets just by looking at your garlands, flowers and jewellery. I like the colours and the details in the drawing of your room. I wish I could have experimented more with creating contrast between colours and a black line. I really love the drawing of embroidery and flowers in a vase – they create such a positive and vibrant mood. I was not sure what media you used for drawing them, perhaps, you could give more details. Overall, it seems that each pattern and drawing has a character and reflects your talent to capture the mood and vividness.
